Re: Charging the ipad while using sound card
there is no solution I'm afraid. There are interfaces that can power the iPad at the same time, but I guess this is not really an option for you because you already have a working interface. They usually have less i/o options anyway. Probably your iPad battery's performance has diminished already. I...

Re: Monitoring Systems
I've done mixes with HiFi speakers and Beyerdynamics headphones for 25 years, it's acceptable. This year I even done mixes with a mediocre AKG closed system headphone and tiny portable speakers, because I was most of the time out of my home studio, in the woods. The thing is, before I had my first p...

Re: Monitoring Systems
I am using a headphone (AKG closed system) or two mono rechargeable little speakers with a custom y-cable (stereo out -> two mono mini-jack) when I'm in the forest. A while ago when I was in a friend's camper, there was an old TFT laying around, and I used it as my sound system. Not too bad, these T...

Re: stereo to mono
that would be nice. Although I have to say, there are professional DAW's on PC/Mac that don't have a mono/stereo switch. One has to route a stereo track (I use that often for synths) to a mono group all the time.

Re: Auria and FCB1010
the FCB1010 is not able to send clock commands.
You try to use a programmable MIDI app (Lemur, ...) to translate a note command from the FCB1010 into a clock command Auria can understand. That should work I think.

Re: Punching in on the fly
a MIDI signal from an attached keyboard (with attached pedal) would be a good solution. When Auria will have MIDI recording, that shouldn't be too difficult to implement I guess. An additional setup menu entry to select the MIDI CC for punch in/out, or a selector for the sustain pedal (CC 64) for ei...

Re: Dark acoustic
good voice, but in my opinion not the right intonation and music. Too simple, not really interesting.
But I'm sure it pleases the majority of listeners. No doubt it will have some success.

Re: External harddrives wifi ect...
in my experience with 16GB iPads (I don't own other iPads), I must concentrate on one or two Auria projects. An unfinished project must be transferred to a computer or dropbox before I start a new one. It's not a problem, it just needs some discipline and attention. I did delete some apps I never us...

Re: PLEASE HELP! mixdown/panning issues
what you can try is to pan all channels to the center. Just for testing purpose. Both channels should be the same. If they are not, the problem lies somewhere else, in your listening environment, your cables, etc.

Re: Auria brand new not working
if you are not using an interface, 96kHz projects (iOS7) do not work at the moment.

Personally I highly recommend to use a pro grade interface for 96kHz projects. Without one it doesn't make sense to me.

10-15 would be good, but only if they were accessible in a better, more direct way. As it is now, I think 4 are enough.

Re: How to set up a Vocal Mixing Workflow in Auria?
again, it serves the purpose to learn the basics. But if you want to ignore those essential steps, here's what you can serve. Compress/limit the vocals so that you don't have to do volume automation. Know that every successful record has a professional engineer riding the track manually. I can only ...

Re: Mixing Vocals
the consensus is rather that there is no strict rule. The reason why I discussed the EQ topic first is because one must know how to use an EQ. It does not mean that it has to be the first insert. And even before that one must set the dry levels right. The other tricks you'll learn later. Knowing the...
