Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
For MIDI tracks only, can you enable record looping? This would enable buildup, for example, of drum parts. New MIDI notes would just be captured in the current region. I understand doing this for audio tracks is complex, but it seems pretty simple for MIDI tracks, as you just have to stop ignoring ...

Restore after "Save Project to Other App"
Hello, I use an Apotop Wi-Reader device to connect my iPad to an external USB / SD card wirelessly. I think it is similar to the SanDisk iXpand device you reference in your manual. I am able to save a zipped version of the current Auria project to this device. It shows up in the device as a .zip fil...

Record into Auria when in background?
Hello, I would like to play some guitar along to a SessionBand Acoustic track. I prepped a track in Auria with some reverb to augment my guitar. When Auria is in the foreground, I can hear the effect on my guitar, and SessionBand plays in the background. However, when I switch to SessionBand (to fol...

Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS
Looking at the reference (Radiohead) track in Pro-Q was instructive. Thanks, what a great tool! It really is loud, with the curve swelling from 100-200 Hz in one or more peaks. I am assuming that isn't the natural spectrum of a normally pitched male voice. Also, there is hiss on the vocals as well. ...

Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS
I have a mixing/mastering question for the experts. Thanks for any suggestions. I am recording a cover version of Radiohead's Exit Music For A Film. I have all the parts recorded and am trying to mix it close to the original. In the Radiohead version, the vocals are quite loud in the mix relative to...

Recording vocals using iPad/iPhone built-in mic
The built-in mic is quite convenient for recording vocal parts when on the go (especially sitting in my car on errands). I do find that vocal parts recorded this way seem quiet relative to other material, e.g. tracks brought in from other apps using ACP. This is after recording with the device fairl...

Re: How to attain right recording level
mrufino1: Thanks for your reply. To make sure I understand, you are suggesting that I set the gain on my interface with the goal of achieving -14 to -18 as shown on the Auria meter on the Mixing screen (based on the right scale next to the fader). If it's lower, I can raise the interface gain until ...

How to attain right recording level
Hello, I am new to recording in general, both the DAW and the hardward sides, so please pardon the basic questions. I am trying to record vocals and guitar parts into Auria on my iPad 2. For interfaces, I am using a recently acquired Alesis ioDock or an Apogee JAM. It seems to me my electric guitar ...
