Re: Best way to create faux stereo track from left-channel-only recorded track?
Hi There are good tips here for “fixing” what you have. However, the best bet is to record it properly in the first place; add a mono audio track and select the left channel as input. As mentioned, most real-world sources like mics or guitars are mono, or single channel, and should be recorded to a ...

I do not believe it’s possible to open Auria to anything except the last project. This is a common behavior in many iOS apps.
Probably your best bet is in creating or opening a blank project when you wrap up a session.
It may be a nice idea to have “open last” or “open new” as an option though.

Re: EQ on region portion
The automation idea could certainly work, but it will depend a bit on what you are using for eq (channel strip, fab filter, IAA, etc) It might be worth trying cutting that segment to a new track, with its own eq. I’m just saying this as precisely tweaking levels in the automation lanes can be a bit ...

Re: Interference
Most audio components are very sensitive to the power coming to them. In your situation, going from DC to AC to DC, any power issues are multiplied well over what most components are designed for. Possible solutions - I’m a 110v US guy, but driving a ground stake outside your trailer and tying it to...

Re: Interference
You are most likely on it, the lack of a good ground ( or as I presume you may call it earth) for components to share is the most frequent cause of hum.
Testing this on grid power would probably narrow it down for you.

Re: Interference
That would depend completely on the brand of headphones you are using and how they are connected to your itrack dock. More details would help.

Re: Consistent tempo
I have had some luck using transient markers to fix smaller, and less extreme, parts of projects, but it was quite a bit of work. The trick was to do it all manually, framing the “ok” areas with markers, and placing then stretching other markers to get it closer to the beat. In your case I’d most li...

Re: Adding effects advice
The idea is treating the XY as a single track. Again, especially with compression, affecting both tracks as one will help glue them together, as compression has time based aspects (attack, release and knee). There are no rules, so whatever works best for you - just try these different options and se...

Re: Adding effects advice
I think Alph makes some good points, but is missing that the OP is using what I presume to be an XY mic recording of a single performance. As he says - it depends; are you using matched mics or different brands? How much room are you capturing in the mics? Will any other tracks, like vocals, be adde...

Re: Drums from GarageBand to Auria?
Man, thanks for trying to help. I tried going to the More but it doesn’t bring up the Save to Files, only save to Dropbox and iTunes. It’s crazy that I can’t get this music file to Files. Have to do more research and maybe will just have to go through Dropbox. Frustrating! Thanks for the help. I fo...

Try swiping that bottom row until you see “More”, select that and turn on “Save to Files” - that was on by default for me, so not sure if that’s it

Re: Loop in whilst in record mode!!!
I believe mtingle is pulling up quotes from the devs from the previous times this request has been brought up (which has been quite a few). I think the point is the basis of Auria was built to work with early iPads, and while many features have been added, the underlying core of the program is the s...

Re: Drums from GarageBand to Auria?
Cory We may have stumbled onto some weirdness here. I was trying the “usual” steps outlined to see if I could help Frank out, and I ran into the same issue he’s reporting - that the export is not appearing in import file window. Steps I followed - Used the share feature in GB (as a wave file), share...

Re: Is Auria 2.18 working for everyone?
Interestingly the App Store just had v2.18 pop up for me. I’m sure it’s some Apple weirdness, but just thought I’d pass it along.
