Re: Consistent tempo

If you use the free Music Memos app and play the recorded guitar into it, it will map the tempo internally, add bass and drums to it in the app. You can then open the Music Memo file in GarageBand and sequence around the original audio. You can then export the tracks (one by one unfortunately) to A...

Re: Consistent tempo

There is no easy way to smooth out a performance with varying tempo that I know of. What you can do instead is to work with the original (fluctuating) tempo. If you use the free Music Memos app and play the recorded guitar into it, it will map the tempo internally, add bass and drums to it in the ap...

Re: Bouncing MIDI track to audio track

Just restart Auria for now, I think that's better and quicker than doing a live bounce. I would like to see this bug fixed though, because it's a really bad one.

Re: Help with MoReVoX

You need to add a convolution reverb effect to your track, then the MoreVox presets will be available in the convolution reverb itself.

Re: Tutorial - using the new LUFS metering in Pro L2

Pro L2 is the only way to meter with LUFS that I know of directly in Auria.

There is an AU plugin by Klevgrand called Grand Finale that can meter with LUFS but the metering is not as nice as Pro L2 (it only does momentary metering so it's much harder to get an average).

Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS

Are you using any Aux sends? Basically there is a bug on the Aux send slots that are on the Master Channel: your project latency gets added to them, like a pre-delay. The workaround is to create an empty stereo channel and assign your Aux input to that, then add your Aux effects on that channel. Bon...

Re: Tutorial - using the new LUFS metering in Pro L2

Sorry I don't think I've experienced that one, I'm pretty sure that while recording the video I stopped and rewound the track while Pro L2 was open but I'll retest when I get the chance.

Tutorial - using the new LUFS metering in Pro L2

Streaming platforms have started normalising songs to a common standard of -14LUFS, this is to ensure that there aren't sudden jumps in volume between tracks (think SoundCheck in iTunes). The good news is that this means the loudness wars are over, because any tracks that are mastered to sound "...

2.18 not live in uk yet.
It is, I updated a couple of days ago. You might need to refresh the app store updates by dragging your finger down on the update screen.

Re: Mastering Program?

What are you trying to achieve? If you want to prep your tracks for a target platform and specifically a target loudness for streaming then the new FabFilter Pro L2 (available in the Auria store) is the best option by a very wide margin. There are other options available, either is IAA, AU, or stand...

Re: Making music workflow: Primarily about rhythm section

There are several workflows for this. I always have some kind of beat laid down before I write any music, just to get the tempo and the vibe going. If you want to create your own beats or drum patterns from scratch the best app is probably DrumPerfect Pro. It's very comprehensive, gives you a lot of...

Re: Sub groups overkill

I typically use between 4 and 6 subs per project (one for drums, one for bass, one for all the other musical elements, one for the lead vocal and double, and one for harmonies and maybe an extra one for backing vocals). It's true that many users don't use them at all though, so it would be nice to h...
