Re: Email from Rim

The day you buy an app determines what you pay. Was it not on discount when you bought it? Is it unfair that other people got to pay less because they happened to buy it at a different time than you? Have you never bought software only to find that there’s a new version soon after, and that to upgra...

Re: update question

Anyway, why is there a new Auria (i.e. Pro) version at all? Wouldn't Auria developement be easier to manage with just one version with the offered upgrade from within the app? Offering the LE version made sense by introducing the app for a lower cost as it came later than the regular version. I don...

Re: update question

Another fogey here. I got used to the darker interfaces. When Logic X came out, I hated the dark. Now I think I prefer it.

Re: Email from Rim

Unwarrented comments? Rim brought up the subject in an e-mail to us all and someone decided to repost it here. I'm not complaining, simply saying why I choose not to upgrade at this point and that I did'd get full value from the previous release (other than trying and learning the software a bit) l...

Re: Email from Rim

I didn’t buy Auria because I need MIDI. Now I plan to buy Pro because it looks like a great app, and I think it can do what I need. And a developer who is active and obviously wanting to fix and improve the app to meet customer’s needs is a huge plus. I believe that’s the way it should work. Don’t b...

Re: Post a review at the app store

I’d think anyone paying $50 for a pro app on iPad would do more research than the rating on the app store. Seems everyone who actually uses the program thinks it’s great.

Re: Auria Pro does not assign instruments to midi tracks

Thanks, Rim, that would be helpful. Looking at the Event Editor in Logic, there’s “Program” under Status, a value, and an instrument name. This must be standard for these kinds of MIDI files, along with other Control info like volume, pan, and reverb. Logic doesn’t use SoundFonts, it must just map i...

Re: Individual zoom levels in track view and piano roll edit

Working on a 100+ bar song, it’s real nice to be able to isolate a region or section for editing. Select the region and you can go right there to do work without scrolling and zooming around looking for it. If I have a choice between an app that’s easier to understand on the first day, or one I pref...

Re: Auria Pro does not assign instruments to midi tracks

I’ve been working with downloaded MIDI files of pop songs the last few months and, opening in both Logic Pro and MultiTrackStudio, instruments are automatically assigned to each track. Logic uses presets from its Library, MTS from internal instruments. It must be GM mapping. Drums get assigned to a ...
