Re: Amp/Pedal Modelling

That dimarzio p bass pickup is fantastic, I have one from an old ibanez bass, it's been installed in various basses here. I like the bass amps in Jamup pro, they have 2 bass packs. I've used it live on occasion when I wasn't able to being my regular setup, and I definitely have recorded with it. The...

Re: Headphones?

"PS @mkymont( the Bose guy), tnx for the info. As an aside I bought a set of domestic Bose Noise Cancelling cans for use on a recent trip to Paris Quiet Comfort 15s. They were really great on the long flight from Australia to Europe and I thought Id give them a whirl when I was tracking some d...

Re: Plug Ins

You can do an excellent mix with the stock plugins in auria. I don't have all the plugins, but the ones I do have I love. I use Microwarmer on the drum bus of every mix, and sometimes on the master. I also love old timer and fxpansion channel comp. I love the stock compressor and bus compressor in t...

Re: Amp/Pedal Modelling

Many options. Jamup pro xt, bias (just amps, but incredible), overloud (auria plugin), tonestack, ampkit, and flying haggis are the ones that come to mind. There may be more. Jamup and tonestack both have free versions to try, and both are currently having sales. Buy the full version rather than upg...

Re: Tonestack IAA issues

It is fairly CPU hungry, as is auria, so I'd suggest that you solo the track with tonestack, mix down to mono or stereo file as appropriate, and re-import that to the track (or import as a new track and save the dry audio), removing tonestack and freezing entirely. You can always save the preset in ...

I think it was a question, not a statement, sadly!

Re: FR - New tracks added below currently selected track

Whenever I have frozen tracks in a project I am not able to then reorder the tracks, that's something you'll be able to implement easily? That would be great!

Re: FR - New tracks added below currently selected track

Awesome! Any way to make this work if there are frozen tracks in the project?

Re: Cant hear my plugins

So with the exception of super manetron, all of the apps you listed are by ik. It was said above that igrand is not IAA capable and therefore will not show up as an insert, but I know it works in audiobus. I have super manetron and irig keys, I'll check them later. Jamup pro is IAA compatible, as is...

Re: Headphones?

You will get what you pay for. On the other side of the argument, if you learn the sound of your headphones they can work for you. I have sony 7506 and akg240mkII that I use and they both have their strengths. But good headphones (the ones that have a b on the side are not being referred to in that ...

Re: Trying to use external effect, CPU overload!

If you use audiobus then you can print the reverb to a track, saving CPU for later. Takes some pre-planning but that's not a bad thing. I believe there is a video on YouTube showing you how to do that, but if not let me know and I will do one.

Re: Project crashing

Thanks, it's uploading and I'll forward the link when it finishes. The file is 3gb , so it will take a little bit. The aux comp and disk buffer increased available memory drastically, so thank you for that. I think I uploaded the "broken" file so you could see what's wrong. Let me know if ...

Re: Project crashing

Ok, I will definitely check those settings. I had never had delay compensation on before, I think I just tried it recently, but crashes were happening before that. And again, pardon me, when you say "send it via Dropbox" are you saying to put it in Dropbox and share the folder with you, or...
