Ovewrite/replace Audio Tapemaschine Style?

Hi Is there a way to punch in destructivly or overwrite audio regions. Right now Auria saves every take in the background which takes up a lot of HD space.

I would really like a tapemaschine style approach where new audio replaces old audio takes ??

Auria is a non-destructive DAW, like all the major desktop DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase). The very nature of a non-destructive DAW is to save all the audio. There's a cleanup function in the settings that deletes any audio that's not currently in the editor, which may help.
