Lost connection with behringer xr18

Post by jrech » Wed Jun 21, 2017 12:57 pm

I am sure I am missing an easy fix on this one. I have a behringer xr18 and I lost connection with auria. I am overlooking something I am sure. I have the new iPad and updated auria to auria pro. Does anyone have an idea as to what I am overlooking?

This may be an issue with the camera connection kit (CCK) which has been upgraded by Apple to USB3. There is a new CCK adaptor which solved this problem for me with a Behringer UMC1820. I didn't need to update the UMC firmware.

Have look at the thread "Behringer FCA1616+ADA8200 rejected as interface"

Thank you for the help. Did you get a USB 3 cable for it? Does the kr18 take USB 3 cables?

Just used the usual usb cable which was supplied with the UMC1820.

From what I can find the new CCK has a degree of intelligence, and communicates with the IPad, and an IPad with OSX 10.3.2 is looking for the new CCK. The fact that it is USB3 capable is not important, the Behringer continues to use USB2. I don't have an XR18, but it does work with a Xenix desk USB port.

By the way the new CCK has a Lightening and usb connector, so you can charge the IPad with its power adaptor while connected to any usb device.

Cheers Dave

Thank you, I did get one of the new adapters. I just couldn't find any information on the USB cable to use. I will get a USB c to USB b cable in USB 2 and it should work. My iPad Pro is backordered for a few weeks so I am getting all of the parts first . I will give it a try on the old iPad and see what happens. Thank you.
