iPad mic will NOT shut off during audiobus recording

Post by pureambient » Sun Aug 25, 2013 6:50 pm

Hi,

I'm trying something very simple.

Input = loopyHD, playing a session of four loops

effects, none

output = Auria

All I want is a recording, in Auria, of the loop that's playing.

I go to Input Matrix

Select Audiobus, not Normal

If I then press any button on the left side, I can hear the loop....and it's registering on the meter...
BUT, the damn mic is on, and I can find no setting to disable it.

I want it OFF, else my nice loop will have all kinds of noise added to it.

I tried various settings in auria relating to audiobus, monitoring, inputs, etc. but no combination works....either there's no sound, and hence, no recording, or, it records both the INT source (loopyHD) AND the damn mic as well, very exasperating!

So HOW do I make this same, simple recording...but with the mic shut off??

Thanks everyone!

I just tried recording Loopy HD into Auria using Audiobus, and it works fine here. Some things to check:

- In Loopy, make sure Live Input Recording is not enabled in settings
- In Auria, make sure you didn't accidentally record enable an additional track, besides the one with Loopy on it. As soon as you add Loopy, Auria should create a track for you automatically with the input matrix set for you to the correct settings.

Are you using the latest Auria version, 1.11?

Thanks so much for this, Rim, I will check it out as soon as I have a chance, and let you know how I get on...

Cheers!!!
