Mic input problem

Post by Frankv3 » Thu Jun 18, 2020 4:52 pm

Hello, everyone. This is a crazy, simple problem that I can’t figure out. I needed to record a simple two track project, but when I had everything set-up and went to the Input Matrix both tracks were stuck on input 1. So, I have two mono tracks showing on the Matrix but the light for both tracks is stuck under input 1. Tapping under 2 on track 2 does no good. Also, when I tap on the input box in mix mode (another way to set the inputs), my only option shown is input1. Other available inputs are not shown.

Recorded not too long ago and everything was fine. I’m using a focusrite 18i8 as an interface. All mikes were plugged into proper input I.e. 1&2. Meters show I’m getting input on both tracks 1&2, but only from input 1. Gotta be something simple but I can’t find it. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

We think this is a bug in the new Auria version effecting only certain USB interfaces.
Have you tried a project at 48k?

Thanks, Cory. Just tried 48K but am getting the same results. I’ve had this Auria for about three years. I don’t remember getting any update on it. This happened once last September also. This seems like an intermittent thing. This is troubling. How can this problem be remedied? Have focusrite users had this same problem? Thanks

Yes, that is the latest version of Auria. We are working to fix this in the next update.

Thanks, Cory. When is the next update expected? I did solve my problem by simply shutting down my iPad then turning it back on. The most obvious thing to do but It was the only thing I didn’t do while troubleshooting. So I don’t know if my cache got overloaded or it was the bug you’re talking about, but I will be happy to see the update. Thanks for all your help. Frank
