Input gain

I'm using a "Blue Snowball" USB connected microphone. Is there another way to change the input gain other then the one in the record pop-up window? As that one only controls the input volume and not the input gain. iow, my microphone still distort.
There's a similar input gain when using GarageBand for iPad and that works fine (no distortion).

Any ides anyone??

I believe the solution that's been posted elsewhere is to use GarageBand to set the gain and other parameters of your mic, then close GarageBand and launch Auria.
